Ricochet DR200S Skid plate 1998-2020

Skid plate was fast and easy to install. I like how light it is and it seems pretty strong as well.

Well, you HAVE to use a T40 SOCKET and a 3/8in socket wrench to install it because of the force required. A 1/4in socket is too small and won't work. Honestly the clamping system is really dumb and scratched up my frame putting it on with paint flakes coming off. This is obviously made by some entrepreneur welder, as even a sophomore engineer could come up with a much better clamp design. Like it was pretty difficult to put on because so much force is required before the clamps can grip the frame, and end up pushing sideways into it scratching the paint. There are only maybe two skid plates for this bike, so there's not many options. For $100 + $10 T40 torx socket it's a pretty good deal, and looks good. Richochet thank god is pretty solid and did not cheap out on the T40 screws. If you contact Richochet directly they can anodize it to whatever color you want for $30 or so and a couple weeks waiting.

Love it. Hated installing it and I think there must be a better way to do so, but other than that this is a great piece of kit. Well made, good looking and I expect it will hold up to whatever 200cc of badness can throw at it.

Fits, wish it came up higher to protect more up front.

Fits like a glove. A little tricky with the clamps, but if you hold your mouth just right, it's perfect!!! Really nice. Looks just like the pics. Thank you for making a fine product. I wish more people supported the DR200 which has been in production for decades.

Excellent fit and looks great. The frame clamps are a little tricky to install but with some patience it can be done. Also, this plate doesn’t have the rattling sound I’ve had with other plates when the motor is running. Overall a good value.

Best price for one of the only skid plates available for the DR 200. Delivery was fast as was the install. I have bought 2 of these in the last few months for my girlfriend and my brothers girlfriend. Satisfied both times.

Fits great on the bike, should be tough enough to withstand a decent hit given the thickness of the aluminum. Only reason for not being 5 stars is that it is tricky to install given the limited space. Props to Dual Sport Armory for their shipping options for Alaska customers.
