Ricochet Skid plate Yamaha XT250 2008-2020

Nice skid plate. Fits well and was easy to install. At certain engine speeds I was getting some resonance as mentioned in some other online reviews. I added rubber washers/spacers between the frame and skid plate which seemed to eliminate this. Would buy it again.

easy installation,gives good protection, highly recommend this skid plate,torx head bolts were the weakest part of the kit but they worked.

This is really only a partially informed review, since I have only had this skid plate for 2 days, but thus far it's been great. The installation was incredibly easy, it doesn't add too much noise, and so far it seems to be doing it's job very well!

I have the ricochet for my GS650 twin and it's great so thought I would get another one for my XT250. The plate isn't extremely heavy duty but will offer modest protection unless you get into the really gnarly rocks. Fits on the bike extremely well and is super easy to install. My only complaint is that all of the bolts had sloppy machine work and seems to be in between tool sizes. We will need to replace these with quality bolts in the very near future. For the price we paid, it's a fair product.

Nice, tough plate. Mounting was perfect. I switched out the Torx bolts for regular hex-head bolts (M6x1.0, 30mm). That way I don't need to carry yet another tool. The plate does reflect the engine noise up to the rider; you get a little more throaty sound, but that's to be expected.

Solid product with nice looking welds, fits perfectly, mounts in 5 minutes. It uses the mounting brackets on the bike and is not mounted with clamps, as other products. Would definitely recommend.

The hardest part of installing this skid plate, was taking the cap off the lok-tite. Was very impressed with the quality, and the price was very doable. All in all a great product at a great price. I would highly recommend this item.
